For this series, I challenged myself to create a new language to push past the limitations of touristic photography. How can I manipulate a photograph to better capture the visceral experience of being in a place? This set is from my trip to Rio, Brazil. I physically transformed the images I took there to take up three dimensions, creating sculptural photographs where the form enhances the meaning.
